2017 RI Masters Event
Coming June 10th & 11th, 2017 to Lang's Bowlarama.

     This is a two day event for the elite bowlers in the state.  The Overall Winner will be crowned the Masters Champion and will receive a paid stipend for the USBC Masters one of the next three seasons!
     Entry fee is $100 per bowler.  
     Bowlers will bowl 6 games of qualifying on Saturday morning on a Sport Compliant "Long" pattern, then another 6 games of qualifying Saturday night on a Sport Compliant "Short" pattern.  
     Day Two is going to follow the National Event rules with double elimination format.  The top 16 bowlers will compete in single game bracket matches, double elimination style.  Bowlers will compete until we have two left in the winners bracket, where they will bowl for the 1 and 2 seed.  In the losers bracket, they will compete until we have four bowlers left, where they will compete all on one pair of lanes with a two game total pinfall match.  The lowest two game total will be eliminated, and the remaining bowlers will be seeded 3, 4 and 5 seeds.  The final five will bowl a stepladder format, 5 vs 4, winner bowls 3, and so on until we are down to the final two.  They will compete for the Title of Masters Champion.  In the event the 1 seed loses in this match, they will bowl an additional game, as that would be the first loss for the #1 seed in a double elimination format.
  • Entry Fee is $100 per bowler
  • Payment is due by June 1st.
  • Entries will be on a first come, first entered basis.
  • There is an open field this year, with 100 max entries. (5 bowlers to a pair in qualifying)
  • You must be a sanctioned RI bowler to participate.  A RI bowler is defined as anyone who has bowled at least 60 games in any RI League in the past 5 years.  The only exception to this rule is if you are USBC RI Hall of Fame member. You are eligible to bowl in this event regardless of when you last bowled in RI.


Dress code is strict for this event.  Khakis, dress pants or golf style shorts and a polo shirt or mock neck are allowed.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Brackets will be available for $3 each
  • $100 Sponsorships are available for advertising.
  • Raffles will be held for donated prizes from sponsors

    2017 Masters Entry Form

    Payment must be received by June 1st, 2017.
    Only RI Bowlers are eligible to enter.
    Payment may be made via Paypal ($104 total) or check may be given to Tim Healey, Chris Baker, Matt Janas, Jason Baker, Robert Toth or Bryan Rhodes, or mail a check to the Association Office.
