RI USBC Tournament Committee Announces RI Masters Event The RI USBC Tournament Committee is pleased to announce the creation of the 2014 RI USBC Masters Event. This event will take place on June 14th & 15th at Lang's Bowlarama in Cranston, RI. This premiere event is for the elite bowlers in the state, and will comprise a field of 65 bowlers over the two day event.
The field will be set as follows:
Day One will consist of 6 games across 12 lanes on a Sport compliant "long pattern" and 6 games across 12 lanes on a Sport comliant "short pattern". The field will cut to Top 8 after 12 games, with all pinfall carrying over to Day 2. Day Two will have an 8 game Round Robin match play, with a win worth 30 pins and a tie worth 15 pins. At the completion of Round Robin, the field will cut to Top 4, seeded as follows:
Winners move on to the Finals, where they will bowl head to head in a two game match, with the winner being crowned the Masters Event Champion. *More tournament rules to follow. Entry Fee is $80 per bowler Payment is due by March 31st, 2014 By in entries will be on a first come, first entered basis. Dress code is strict for this event. Khakis or dress pants and a polo shirt or mock neck are allowed.
